Invited to lectures overseas as an expert in the issues of ageing societies

By 2030, many countries in the world will be ageing societies with more than 7% of their population being 65 years old or older as defined by the United Nations. This projection is raising serious concerns over the ageing issues in many countries that are not yet facing this problem.

Many countries in the world will become "ageing societies" by 2030.

I was the only Japanese among the panelists at the international conference held in London in 2004 hosted by AARP. In 2006 I was invited to serve as Chairman of a session at the World Ageing & Demographic Congress in Switzerland, and in 2008 I was invited as Keynote Speaker at Silver Industry Conference & Exhibition 2008 organized by the Singapore Government. As a Japanese expert, I have been speaking about ageing issues all around the world.
